Creating Your Home Spa
How do you unwind after a long day? Many of us enjoy a hot shower or nice long bath to wash away the stress. Here’s a few tips on how to turn your everyday shower into a spa.
Declutter your bathroom
It’s no secret that clutter causes stress. Throw away toiletries that you no longer use. Keep the rest of your bathroom essentials tucked away in drawers or storage so they’re out of sight and out of mind. For smaller bathrooms, consider putting your toiletries into small jars or baskets (which can also add to your bathroom decor).
Control the lighting
Change the mood in your bathroom by installing a dimmer switch. This gives you the freedom to control the amount of light you want.
Ambiance
Add some ambiance to your home spa by putting soy-based candles around your bathroom (so is the cleanest burning candle for air quality purposes). Another option is to use natural essential oils and diffusers.
Add a tray
Invest in a tub tray or wine holder so you can have your favorite bubbly or wine while you’re enjoying your bath (or shower).
